Mia Benzinger is our ASB President this year and is senior here at Ripon High School. She says her goal for the school year is to get through with as much positivity as possible to make her last year memorable. She would like to see a close bond within her leadership class as well as for all of the activities to be ran smoothly. She hopes for a highly spirited student body and enthusiasm within new freshmen to bring forth a new energy to school. Aside from the leadership world, Mia is also involved in numerous clubs, sports, and volunteering in her school and community. She is a part of Girls’ League, Link Crew, CSF, Pride Tribe, Volleyball, and Track. She also holds a job and volunteers locally with places such as Bethany Homes. After college Mia would like to attend a four year college somewhere near the beach. Although she is not sure what exactly she would like to pursue as a career, she knows it will have something to do with helping people. Along with college, she is going to put traveling as a priority in her life in order to gain perspective and experience new cultures and diversity.

Hailey bogetti is a senior at Ripon high school. She currently holds the position ASB Vice President. She has been participating in softball for four years. She also is involved in several clubs including Pride Tribe, Link Crew, Sacred Heart, Pre Med Club, and CSF. Something she wishes to accomplish this year is to leave the legacy of having a positive mindset no matter the situation. Her position in leadership consists of assisting the ASB President in activities such as the Back to School dance, end of the year dance, and school activities. Bogetti is also directly in charge of the school BBQs. She plans on changing the world by finding the positives in every bad situation.

Natalie Betoshana is a Junior attending Ripon High School. Her personal goals for the school year are to maintain a 4.0+ GPA, to pass all four AP exams, and to continue growing her friendships and bonds with those around her. Besides leadership, Natalie is also involved in the United, Block R, Pride Tribe, Yoga, Sacred Heart, Link Crew and CSF clubs on campus. She runs track in the spring and is the ASB Administrative Coordinator all year round. Her job entails her to work closely with Gigi and Morty, as well as taking minutes, keeping track of the ASB budget, working to update the calendar, mentoring the freshmen, and helping where needed. Natalie is looking forward to prom and experiencing the new Homecoming. Her future plans after high school include going to college, possibly on the beach, and pursuing international business or finance. Natalie wants to change the world one step at a time by smiling at everyone she sees and encourage others to get involved.

Dallas Waters is a senior and the ASB Executive School Board Representative. His goal for this school year is to make his senior year his most memorable and enjoyable year of them all. He is involved in track, AP classes, link crew, and Science Olympiad. He plans on going on a 2 year church mission after graduation and then attending a university. He hopes on continuing his education to med school.

Julyssa Castellanos is one of our seniors here at RHS, the World’s Greatest High School. One of her goals for this year is to finish off her high school experience with as many memories and as many friends as she can before she goes off to college. As of right now she has been doing pretty well at this goal, with a lot of help from the new classes and new people that she is being surrounded by every day, and she can’t wait for Club Rush Week so she can expand her horizons even more. She’s involved in Estudiantes Unidos, Girl’s League, Link Crew, and track in the springtime. Julyssa is also a part of ASB Leadership, where she is the Senior Class President. Her main jobs include: making sure that everyone in the class feels included, overlooking/working with the rest of her officer team, and planning many events such as senior sunrise/sunset, winterfest, baccalaureate, and graduation. After high school Julyssa plans on attending a 4-year college to pursue her dream career of being a Veterinarian, but she can’t decide between UC Davis, Oregon State, or Washington State.

Kate Phelps is a senior at Ripon High. Her goal of the school year is to make this year as memorable as she can. It is her last year in high school so she wants to make as many memories as she can before she goes to college. She is involved in many activities around school, like Yoga Club, Girls League, and Link Crew. She is also going to play soccer and run track this year. Kate is currently the senior class vice president. She supports the president and is in charge of student senate. Being vice president comes with responsibility but she is ready for it. Her goal for the future is to graduate college and get a job because she wants a family in the future and she needs a job to support her family.

B’Elanna Morriss is a senior at Ripon High School . She is the Senior Class Administrative Assistant. Her role in Leadership is to take notes during the meeting and keep track of the budget. She is involved in Leadership, Cheerleading, Block R, Pride Tribe and much more. Her goal for senior year is to figure out what career she wants to pursue. She also hopes get into to Sonoma State University or CSU Fullerton. She also wishes to spend as much time with her friends as she can in their last year together and go on many adventures with them. Her future goals are to graduate college and travel the world in her 20s.

Chloe Kiser is a Senior this year. Her goal for the year is to keep her 4.0 GPA and to get into a college that she is excited to attend next fall. Chloe is involved in Leadership, Link Crew, AP classes, and Pride Tribe. Outside of school Chloe volunteers at Ripona for Give Every Child a Chance and enjoys CrossFit. This year Chloe is the Senior Publicity Officer and works with the Senior Office Team to make this final year a memorable one for all. Chloe’s goal for the future is to graduate high school and college and to always find time whatever makes her happiest in life.

Ana Perez is a Junior at Ripon High School. Her goals for the year include getting straight A’s, passing her AP exams, and making this year fun despite the stress. She is involved in Sacred Heart, Leadership, Pride Tribe, Track, and most importantly the Fanny Pack Club. She holds the position of junior class president and is the liaison between the junior class and the Leadership class as well as planning Junior events such as Prom. Ana does not yet know what she wants to do career wise but she hopes to continue her education at the University of Notre Dame or at her parents alma mater, UCSB. Ultimately she hopes to find a happiness and lead a satisfying life.

Elias Herrera is a junior at Ripon High School. As of 2018, Herrera is involved in Sacred Heart and Link Crew and is actively enrolled in Renaissance and Academic Block R. He is also on the Science Olympiad team where he is club secretary with a 7th place ribbon. Alongside these and the vigorous Honors and AP classes he is taking, Herrera manages to run in cross country and is on the track and field team. In Leadership, Herrera is serving his fellow peers as Junior Class Vice President. Some responsibilities of his position are to be at meetings and support the Junior Class President, start humanitarian projects, and most importantly, take note of the opinions of those classmates in Student Senate or whom he likes to call his friends. Herrera’s goal for the school year is not only to bring the class of 2020 closer together, but to really make personal connections amongst those in his grade. As for Herrera’s goals for the future beyond high school, he really hopes to make an impact on his environment (not literally of course, for he considers himself an environmentalist and an advocate for human rights) by committing to doing positive acts on a daily basis. This, he believes, would not only benefit the world but himself, body and soul.

Evan Johnson is a Junior this year. His goal for the year is for him to keep a 4.0 GPA and to start searching for a college. Evan is involved in Leadership, AP classes, Pride Tribe, and Link Crew. Outside of school Evan volunteers for his church and refs for the Ripon soccer rec league as well as Parkview’s soccer games. This year Evan is the Junior Administrative Assistant and is working with the Junior Office Team to make sure this year runs as smoothly as possible. Evan’s goals for the future include graduating from high school and college and then hopefully finding a career in sports medicine.

Gianna Brocchini is a junior at Ripon High School this year. Her goal for this year is to stay on top of her school work throughout the whole year so stress doesn’t overpower her optimistic mindset. She is apart of the track team and is involved in many clubs on campus, such as: Pride Tribe, United, Sacred Heart, and Block R. Gianna is the Junior Class Publicity Officer this year, which means she’s in charge of promoting spirit to the school, having a positive mindset, taking on class responsibilities, and dressing up the mascot Estanislao for each spirit day. She especially enjoys promoting spirit because she loves seeing everyone have pride for Ripon. Her goals for the future include attending college and hopefully pursuing a career surrounded by horses. After college she hopes to raise a family and be a great role model for her children throughout their lives.

Niki is a Sophomore at Ripon high school. She enjoys staying as involved as possible and active in many activities at RHS. This year she is participating in both girls golf and tennis. She also tutors at Ripon Elementary school, volunteers at Jeff Denham, and enjoys playing the piano. Her favorite class at Ripon High is leadership because it gets her involved and allows her to have a voice in the high school. Her role as a leadership student is Sophomore Class President. In the future, she hopes to make an impact on the students at RHS and leave a long-lasting legacy. After high school, her goal is to attend UCLA for her undergraduate degree and then attend UOP for her DDS degree. Her ultimate goal is to become a dentist and to live a happy life with her family.

Kate Villegas is a sophomore at Ripon High School. She holds the role of Class Vice President. Kate serves as a representative in Senate for the class of 2021 and as the support for the Class President. She and the three other class officers are responsible for their Homecoming, Winterfest, Winter Formal, and Coin Wars. Additionally, Kate is involved in multiple clubs like Girls League, Sacred Heart, Science Olympiad, Yoga/Pilates Club, and the California Scholarship Federation. She is also apart of Ripon High's swim team during the spring season. This year Kate hopes to grow as an individual alongside her friends. She aims to learn from the many experiences of sophomore year, to be a friendly face to students at school, and to put forth her best effort into her passions. In Kate's future after high school, her plans are to remain in California to further her education within the medical or law fields. Her hopes are for life to bring her continuous amounts of new knowledge, positive people, and self development.

Gracie Jaime is going into her sophomore year of high school. This year, she has the position of Class Administrative Assistant. She is looking forward to going into her second year of Leadership and she is ready to take on her role. Outside of Leadership, she is in various clubs such as Girls League, Science Olympiad, Yoga club and Bug club. Gracie is also involved with golf this year. Her goal this school year is to focus on her studies but also enjoy the great memories high school has to offer. She also wants to get to know other students and hopes to become a friendly face to all. After high school, Gracie wants to attend a University of California school and either study environmental science or political science.

Zoe Barba is currently 15 years old and a sophomore this year at Ripon High; this is her first year in leadership. She is 6 feet tall with a shoe size of 13 inches in women's, with big curly hair, and a gigantic pretty smile. In leadership, Zoe is one of four sophomore officers; her position is called Publicity Officer. As Publicity Officer, she promotes spirit events, presents positive school culture, and does Spirit Bombs, which is to show how much we love and appreciate our RHS staff members. Her goal is to learn new things, have a good season in volleyball and softball, make new and good friendships with her classmates and teachers, and to get more people involved. Zoe deeply enjoys keeping busy by joining or helping clubs, sports, church events, school events, RHS sports, volunteering at an after-school program, and in any way she can with her peers. After high school, she isn’t so clear about what she wants to be, but she knows that she wants to go to a university, get a good education, get married, have a family, adopt a child, and whatever she decides to do for the rest of her life, she knows she wants to help people and spread her positivity across the world.

Evan McKeon is a Freshman Representative at Ripon High. He will be graduating in 2022. Evan’s goal for the year is to inspire other people to get more involved in the school. His goal is to make the Freshman class more spirited and excited for high school. The sports Evan is involved in are golf and basketball. He has a lot of school spirit and he also loves being involved in leadership. His role in the leadership program is a freshmen representative. His goal for the future is to graduate with a 4.0 and go to a good college to become a firefighter.

Brooke Brogan is currently a freshman at Ripon High School. Her goal for the school year is to earn straight A’s all year, make many new friends, and be as helpful as possible. She is involved in the high school’s volleyball team, basketball team, and also theatre outside of school. She hopes to be a part of clubs such as Girls’ League and Block R, and maybe start her own club someday. Brooke is a freshman representative and one of her jobs is to encourage her classmates to dress up for spirit days and attend numerous school events. She also aims to be someone her class can count on if they need any help. In the future, she hopes to attend college in Southern California and get a job as a director in movies and shows. Brooke strives to be a positive person who works hard, no matter what obstacles are thrown her way.

Anthony Sausedo is a freshman currently attending Ripon High School. This school year, he plans to succeed in all of his classes, make many new friends, and get as involved as possible. He is going to play basketball for the JV team, and plans to play on the track team as well. As a Freshman Representative, Anthony is responsible for various activities around campus, along with the needs and desires of the freshman class. He wants to lead by example and be an effective role model to his peers. He is most looking forward to all of the Homecoming activities, such as the dance, the parade, and many more. He is especially excited to built the float because there are endless possibilities for how it can be decorated. After high school, Anthony will attend college; he is aiming for Stanford, but is also considering other California schools as well, such as UC Davis. He is not sure yet what he wants to major in, as he wants to have many options available to him. Anthony wants to spread positivity and friendship around Ripon High and be someone that others can seek out for assistance.

As a Freshman at Ripon High School, Annie Wood hopes to accomplish many things. She wants to spread school spirit and get more people involved. She hopes to make others feel included and accepted for who they are. Annie tends to be involved in many school activities and sports. Along with church and friends, Annie plays basketball, track, and golf. She also hopes to join clubs and make new friends. In leadership she currently holds the position of Freshman representative, which takes a lot of time and effort. Although she is only a Freshman, she has many dreams. She plans on joining the medical field and starting a family.

Ashley Dillman is a freshman at Ripon High School. Her goals during the school year include maintaining straight A's as well as getting to know new people over the course of freshman year. She aspires to make time management and maintaining a positive attitude her primary focuses. She is involved in school sports as well as club volleyball, is part of a youth group, and hopes to become a member of many clubs during the school year. Ashley shares the position of Freshman Representative with 7 of her peers, and hopes to utilize her position to motivate others to get involved within the school. Law, criminal psychology, and forensic pathology are all career paths that interest her, and her goal would be to get into a college with a great program in either of these fields.

Katelyn Cardoza is a Freshmen at Ripon High school. She is hoping to get involved and meet new people. She wants to make a difference in the school. In her Freshman year she is participating in golf, wrestling, and track. In her free time she attends church activities, spend time with her friends, going to service projects, and traveling. This is her first year of leadership and her job is freshmen rep. Her goal for the school year is to plan activities for everyone and help everyone have a great year. She is hoping to attend BYU Provo or BYU Hawaii when she is older. She wants to start a family and go on a church mission for the LDS church. Lastly she wants to make a difference in the world and make peace.

Avery is an incoming freshman. She hopes through leadership that she will make new connections and more friends. Avery wants to make sure to thoroughly represent her freshman peers. She will be involved in several clubs, such as: Debate, Girl’s League, and Gay/Straight Alliance. She also is considering trying out for the tennis team. Since there is only representatives for her class, she is equal with her other freshman in her rank and role. She will be helping organizing events such as her classes’s homecoming float, winter fest, and setting up/cleaning up events like dances. Avery plans to attend a UC college, with her top choice being UCLA. From there she wants to major in either criminology or political science. Avery wants to be able to live a happy, stress free life with a career she is passionate about.

Naomi Wilbur is an incoming freshman at Ripon High School. Naomi’s goal for the school year is to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard and that everyone feels included and involved. Naomi is involved with 5678 Dance Studio. She has been dancing there for 12 years, and she has been an assistant teacher for 3 years. Naomi is also involved with RHS girls golf and will play tennis in the spring. She plans on joining Girl’s League, Pride Tribe, Renaissance, and many more. Naomi’s job as a freshman representative is to be a role model for all other students so they will be respectful and happy on campus. Some of the events that Naomi will be helping with this year are decorating the freshman homecoming float, the student & staff basketball game, and Winterfest. Naomi’s goal for the future is to go to college on the East Coast, become a ballet dancer in a company in San Francisco or New York, and live with her two dogs.

Carmen Simon is a Junior at Ripon High School! She plans on absolutely slaying junior year and maintains straight As while also having a fun time! She is involved in Golf, Leadership, Cheer, and the Kardashians! She spends her spare time following people on twitter and watching youtube! She is the Rally Commissioner with her friend Royce Kinsey! She plans on being a TV psychologist and worldwide sensation similar to Oprah but better!

Royce Kinsey is a junior here at Ripon High School. He is involved in Leadership, Pride Tribe, Golf, and has plans to join Block R, Link Crew, and try out for Basketball later in the year. Royce’s goal for the school year is to maintain a good GPA and to not let any negativity get to him. As Rally Commissioner, Royce has to be the MC at every rally and to keep the crowd excited. He wants to make sure that the rallies are done the way him and his fellow rally commissioner want them to be done while listening to other student’s ideas. He also wants to inspire the underclassmen to run for the position in the future like the ones who were rally commissioner before him. He is very excited for the Night Rally because it is something new and it is a really cool idea to do a rally during the night and to see all the classes come out and do lip syncs. After high school, Royce wants to make an impact on the world by being a positive individual and working hard everyday to meet expectations.

Maria Soto is a junior at Ripon High. Her personal goals for this school year are to be as involved as she can and achieve a high grade point average all year. Besides Leadership and Journalism, the two main organizations Maria spends time in, she is part of RHS Drama, Photography, Korean Culture, and Jazz clubs. Her leadership position consists of publicizing school activities with the use of flyers, posters, announcements, and social media. She also organizes the ACE of the Month award, writes for the school newspaper, and keeps track of leadership student posting for social media assignments. One of Maria’s favorite school activities that she’s looking forward to this school year is organizing the Talent Show and Silent Auction.
After high school, Maria is planning on going to college and is working hard so that she can attend Stanford University and become a linguistics professor. She plans on changing the world by promoting multilingualism to help build bridges between cultures and people through language and music. |
Laila Irigoyen is a tenth grader at Ripon High School. Her goal, this school year, is to make everyone feel special, appreciated, and important. She’s striving for a 4.0 GPA, a good track
and cross country season, and an exciting school year with friends! Along with track and cross country, Laila Irigoyen is involved with Pride Tribe, Renaissance, CSF, and is Outreach Commissioner for United club. Her role in Leadership, this year, is Public Relations; with her partner in crime, Maria Soto. Her job is to publicize all the events planned at Ripon High. She makes posters to publicize school events, meets with the school newspaper, helps organize and select a new Ace of the Month with the AD, and publicizes the school calendar. Her job is to make sure everyone knows what is happening at Ripon High School. Her goal after high school is to attend a university, get a good education, get married, and have a loving family. She wants to help others, make an impact, and spread positivity wherever she goes. |
Caryssa McKeon is currently a Junior at Ripon High School. She is highly involved within her school and community. She has been apart of her ASB Leadership program for three years so far. Along with her being involved in many clubs and activities on campus such as Pride Tribe, Block R, Renaissance and Academic Block R, and Link Crew. She also participates in Powder Puff and all of the homecoming activities. Caryssa has played volleyball for three years so far at Ripon High, but she plans on trying something new this year as well. A goal of Caryssa’s is to really step out of her comfort zone and make new friends and try new things on campus. Her position in leadership is Spirit Publicity Co-Coordinator with her partner Molly. Their main roles include promoting and keeping track of all spirit points on campus, establishing spirit days along with being a role model on campus. A goal for Caryssa’s future is to graduate high school, having no regrets, enjoying every moment and making the most of any situation.

Molly Ysit is a junior at Ripon High. This year, her goal is to stay on top of her school work, and make a ton of fun memories. Molly is involved in CSF, Link Crew, Pride Tribe, United, volleyball, Block R, and tennis. As a spirit publicity co-coordinator, her responsibilities include getting the student body excited for upcoming events, going all out for spirit days, and creating a welcoming environment on campus. She is really looking forward to watching and playing sports this year. After high school, Molly wants to go to college and medical school, become a radiologist, and have and support a happy family.

Nico Ilardi is going into his junior year at Ripon High. His goal for this year is to balance school, sports, and fun as he has a very busy schedule. Along with leadership, Nico plays football, basketball, and golf, is in the band, and is involved in clubs. His position in leadership is Athletics Commissioner, but being a 3rd year, he feels that he is now someone the younger kids can look to in leadership for help. A goal that Nico has for his future is to make a positive impact in the world, whatever his career may be.

Malery States, a sophomore at Ripon High School, and also the Athletics Commissioner in RHS’s leadership program is excited to start of the school year. This year, Malery plans on joining more clubs such as United and maybe even carrying on the Movie Club. Her main goal for this year is to get a 4.0 gpa but also make more friends and meet a lot of the new Freshmen. For the future, Malery’s goal is to join her brother Branden at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, but to study sports medicine. After graduating, Malery wants to become a Physical therapist or some job to help professional athletes with their physical health. Malery is excited for the school year and hopes to meet a lot of new people!

Gabriel Herrera is the Historian commissioner this year. He is a sophomore, enjoying his second year in Leadership. Gabriel enjoys much more of high school beyond leadership, in fact, he is a Student Athlete. In the fall, he runs cross-country, and returns to the sport grind in the spring for the track season. Among the time he spends on that grind, Gabriel still finds time for other extracurriculars, like band. This upcoming school year marks his fifth year playing the clarinet, which is another hobby of his. Gabriel also will be joining United, Estudiados Unidos, Sacred Heart, and the California Scholarship Federation. This school year, Gabriel hopes to balance his workload, social life, and fam bam time, while simultaneously achieving nirvana. After high school, an enlightened Gabriel hopes to repair that pesky hole in the ozone layer and save the world, one recyclable at a time.

Troy Brogan is a junior at Ripon High School. His goal for the school year is to maintain straight A's and win a section championship for football and basketball. He is involved in ASB Leadership, Link Crew, Pride Tribe, CSF, football, and basketball. Troy is the Link Crew and Renaissance Coordinator in the leadership class. His goal for the future is to attend Arizona State University and get a degree in data analytics so he can work for the Phoenix Suns organization.

Aiko DeArth is a junior at Ripon High this year. Her personal goal this school year is to maintain a good gpa and be as involved as she can and help get others people involved as well. Aiko is involved in cross-country and track as well as link crew, CSF, the medical club, and of course, leadership. Her position is Renaissance/Link Crew Commissioner and her job involves helping to organize Link Crew Study Buddy Nights and run the Renaissance program. Her main goal for the future is to be successful in high school and to get into the college of her choice in order to pursue practicing medicine. Her dream is to be involved in a program like Doctors Without Borders or the Peace Core: somewhere that she feels she can truly make a difference and help people.

Isabel Sweet is a senior at Ripon High School and she is in leadership and her position is technology. This year she would like to learn more about editing through classes at the Apple Store. This will help her be able to create good promo videos for the RHS student body. Her job in leadership is to make sure all the videos play correctly at rallies, set up music for different events, and making the end of the year extravaganza video. One activity she is looking forward to is homecoming. She wants to change the world by helping people understand technology better and how to use it effectively. An example is helping companies advertise through videos, set up a social media for them, or she could take a few pictures and post it online for the company. Isabel’s future plans are to go to a film school of some sort and make movies while living in LA or to become a realtor.

Brendan Lan is a sophomore this year at Ripon High School. His goal is to balance his workload a little bit more, because last year he was sick for like a month. It’s on him, because people told him to rest more but he decided not to. He hopes to stay away from being too sickly, but knows it’ll probably happen again. Brendan is involved in leadership as a Technology Commissioner, in Bug Club as president, in Link Crew, piano, and tennis. He hopes to join more clubs this year in order to be more involved in the school including drama, photography, GSA, and anything that catches his eye. Brendan’s role in leadership is to basically handle the behind-the-scenes tech for anything the class might be doing. Usually this entails handling the technical side of rallies. He’s excited for this role as it is wildly new experience for him that he know much about beforehand. Brendan has weird aspirations for the future including living alone while being surrounded by nature & his bug collection. Some of his more practical future goals include becoming a professor in entomology, and making a significant mark on the seemingly insignificant (but much more important than most people understand) field of entomology.

Kassidy Isham is a Junior at Ripon High School. This year, she would like to help out morty and her classmates as much as she can. Outside of leadership, she is involved in golf, soccer, link crew, and softball. This year, Kassidy is looking forward to football season. In order to fulfill her position duties she will help and give her best effort at all times. After high school, Kassidy would like to attend CSU, Long beach to continue her eduction in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. Kassidy wants to change the world by having a positive attitude and always show kindness towards others.
