Makenzie Loechler is a senior at Ripon High School who has devoted great time to being involved in her community, school, sports, and work. Since Freshman year, Makenzie has been a part of the Leadership program provided at her school working her way from a scared Freshman Representative to a confident ASB President. Throughout her four years Makenzie was a three time varsity volleyball player, four time varsity basketball player, and two time varsity track runner. Makenzie has dedicated time to beautifying her community through cleaning up parks, writing thank you cards to veterans, raising money for various programs, and educating the community about flaws in the education system. Makenzie hopes to do amazing things in her future by going into the FBI to help those in desperate need. She also hopes to be deeply involved in her community and family as she continues to mature throughout life. Makenzie’s goal is to serve those around her while also living her life to the fullest she can. Finally, Makenzie will be continuously working on having a growth mindset, finding purpose in all that she does, and maintaining healthy balances within her life.

David Wang is an aspiring high school Senior and visionary hailing from the small town of Ripon in the Central Valley of California. His work focuses on writing, research, and helping students succeed in academic courses. Wang works on fostering cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural thinking to advance the modern era of global progress.
An enthusiastic writer, public speaker, and artistic designer, Wang has been recognized multiple times by speaking and writing competitions. His short form works of writing have achieved national publication. As the 2022-2023 ASB Vice President for RHS, he is determined to give students in his local community an opportunity to have the best high school experience ever. Outside of school, Wang is involved in many organizations such as the California Association of Student Leaders and the San Joaquin Youth for Environmental Literacy. Wang believes that the meaning of life lies in fulfilling one's potential. He is passionate about using his voice and giving back to the community he loves. In his free time, he enjoys playing music and enjoying nature. Wang’s goal for this year is to be helpful to others and to spread a positive attitude throughout campus. Abigail Campos is a 12th grader at Ripon high. She hopes to have a year full of greatness. She strives to keep a positive mindset and prevails. Her goals consist of obtaining good grades, staying motivated, setting a good example for other students, and overall growing as a person. Outside of school, Abby has a passion for music, such as playing the piano and singing. Along with music, reading is another pastime of hers. Her favorite author is Colleen Hoover as she writes heartfelt stories and real-life hardships. She enjoys watching the sunset as she reads while listening to instrumental music. Abby has a very creative mindset which helps promote problem-solving, gives a sense of purpose, and allows her to express herself. Abby also holds the position of ASB administration assistant. Her job entitles her to advise and monitor class administrative assistants, work closely with the bookkeeper, manage funds/accounts and take minutes during meetings. Abby wants to bring happiness into the world by being kind to others and spreading positivity.

Dillan Saltsman is serving as ASB Executive Board Member for his senior year of 2022-2023. He thrives in his academic involvement across Ripon High’s campus leading with the Red Cross Ripon Chapter, Environmental Advocacy Club, Ripon Speech and Debate, Next Chapter Book Club, Ripon High Book Club, and an Advisory Committee. He works towards a next step in education as he takes AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, Physics, AP English Literature, AP US Government and Economics, and AP Spanish Language. Outside of school, Dillan aims to do what fulfills his purpose by involving himself as an H2O for Life Fellow, member of the San Joaquin Youth for Environmental Literacy Network, active Red Cross volunteer, Pioneer Student Researcher, and a math tutor for local elementary school students. He hopes to later seek some form of employment and also start applying to colleges. Through various endeavors, Dillan enjoys setting forward with positive intentions and possibly making a meaningful impact on other people’s lives. At this point, he hopes to attend his best fit of a 4-year university to pursue a degree in environmental engineering. He most values knowledge, nature, and great friends. As Dillan goes into his position this year he wants to be true to himself, leave a legacy at Ripon High, and give a voice to those who feel they don’t have one.

April Yan is Ripon High’s Senior Class President for the 2022-2023 school year. After serving as her class vice president for two years prior, she decided to take the next step into a presidential role. Her job is to head all senior events and their planning, like Senior Sunrise. She and her officer team are also in charge of Winterfest, which takes place in the second semester of the school year. April will also be heading Gallery of the Arts with her two trainees, an event that’s centered around honoring the art and music programs at RHS. Her job as a whole is to serve as a representative for her class, and ensure their voices are heard. This year especially, April’s job is to give her class a great last year of high school by making sure she and her officer team execute all senior events well. She knows it’ll take a lot of dedication and patience, because while everyone will want to get their way, not everyone can be pleased. At school, April likes to challenge herself with advanced classes, and is taking 3 APs this year, in addition to tutoring as a zero period. She enjoys participating in club events like Environmental Advocacy soap making and Kindness Club chalk writing. This year, April will be running with the school’s cross country team, and maybe the track team as well. She’s most looking forward to ending high school on a good note, and hopefully a semi-normal year. April would love to experience indoor rallies again, and can’t wait to see the dances go back to normal. Her personal goals are to maintain her grades and make time to take care of herself. With college steadily approaching, and applications open, April knows balance is key. She aspires to be an engineer, but understands she has to take it one step at a time. In her free time, April likes to watch crime/detective shows like Criminal Minds, or rom-com movies like 10 Things I Hate About You. She also likes to paint because it’s relaxing, and learn songs on the piano to maintain a musical aspect of her life. One of her most favorite hobbies is reading because she likes to experience the different lives and perspectives of characters. April sees it as a chance to live a thousand lives and all the ways people love.

Gracie Winchell is a senior this year at Ripon High School and is anxiously awaiting her walk across the stage in May. She looks forward to stepping into a new role this school year as the Senior Class Vice President, especially with Homecoming and Winterfest. Her main priorities this year consist of assisting April Yan, the Senior Class President, and to voice the opinions of the Senior Class during Leadership meetings. Her and her fellow officers are going to make this the best possible year for the Senior class, since most of their high school experience was spent on distance learning and with COVID regulations. In addition to her Leadership duties, she’s taking three AP classes and helping with her church’s youth group on Wednesday and Thursday nights, all while prepping for college. While she will be very busy, she strives for success in high school so that she can better prepare herself for her future. She aspires to attend a four year college on the Pacific Coast, but she has her sights set on Oregon State University to get her degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. After graduating college, she hopes to pursue a career in Pharmacology. When she’s not focused on the academic aspects of her life, you can usually find her reading a romcom or watching a show like Gilmore Girls or Glee. She loves to spend time with her friends and family, especially her closest friends, Claire, April, and Spencer.

Brianna Alvarez is a senior at Ripon High School. This is her second year in the Leadership program. She is Senior Class Publicity Officer, following Abby Thompson. Her responsibilities within the position are to be an officer for the senior class as well as being in charge of the spirit commissioners. Brianna participated in activities at the school and in neighboring towns. She is in numerous clubs on campus, including Estudiantes Unidos, Link Crew, Yoga Club, Pride Tribe, etc. Outside of school, she loves to get into wacky adventures with her friends and family. Brianna's goals for this year are to maintain a GPA above 3.0, pass all of her classes, and to have a slay senior year. She wants to go to college after high school.

Emily Sesser is a current senior at Ripon High School, graduating with the class of 2023. Emily enjoys being challenged, whether that is academically, through the AP and honors courses she has taken during her time at Ripon High, or through other activities and hobbies such as sports. Emily has been active in girl's basketball all four years of her high school career, playing on varsity for three. She has also enjoyed being a part of the leadership program at RHS for her junior and senior year. In the future Emily wants to study psychology, possibly in hopes of being a forensic psychologist. Her dream would be to study at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. However, logically, she hopes to attend an out of state college to pursue her passion for psychology further. Previously, Emily was Public Relations Coordinator, and this year represents her class as Senior Class Admin. She is excited to take on the many responsibilities and opportunities. Throughout her senior year she will participate in as many activities, rallies, games, dances, etc, as possible in order to get the most out of her senior year. Kylee Brown is Junior Class President who loves to help her peers, get involved, and spread positivity! She has been in this program for 3 years now and she continues to learnnew knowledge she can use in her future. She is in Ap and honors classes and hopes to work hard and maintain good grades. This year she hopes to continue to learn new ways to lead the program with integrity, honesty, hard work, and dedication. Kylee wants to be someone people look up to and come to when they need something. She loves accepting challenges and overcoming the obstacles that come her way. Her goals for this year are to make more people get involved, see the good in everything, give people activities they want to see or do, accomplish everything, and strive to do the best she can. She not only likes being involved in Leadership, she likes to golf and play softball, work, community service, participate in the clubs at school such as Girls league, Christian club, and Multiculture Appreciation club, as well as trying new things. Kylee is excited to accept new challenges in the hope to change her future for the better! She can't wait to see what this year brings and she aspires to show people that school is all what you make out of it. Devin Fitzpatrick is the Junior Class Vice President at Ripon High School. He is responsible for reporting directly to the Junior Class President and assuming her role when absent. His job also entails that he assists the Class President in all events such as spirit days and dances and any other situation the class president needs assistance with. Along with all of this, he is in charge of creating a community project that the other vice presidents help him with. His personal goals for the school year are to maintain straight As, to maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle, to pursue leadership to the best of his ability, and to pursue qualifying for state in track and field. Besides leadership, Devin is involved in varsity track and cross country and multiple clubs. Devin is looking forward to growing as a person and pursuing his passion for Track throughout his high school years while getting accepted into the best college he possibly can. His future plans after high school are to attend a four-year university, major in economics, and compete in Track in college. Devin aspires to compete for a D1 track college and take after his family in car dealing. Devin would like to help the world by lending a helping hand to anyone who needs one.

Lucia Machado Perez is the Junior Class Publicity officer this year at Ripon High School. This year includes for her to support her officer team in class events such as Prom, Winter fest, Dude Be Nice, Homecoming, etc. One of her goals for this upcoming year is to give it her all. As she is now an upperclassman, the standards and stress of succeeding are higher than ever, and by practicing time management skills and discipline she is destined to succeed. This year, Lucia will be participating in volleyball, a sport she has been playing for years, track, and numerous clubs at Ripon High School. Dreaming of the success that she wants to achieve, Lucia wants to attend Cal Poly or SDSU to take on her passion of being a business owner, or taking over her family farm. Lucia is hoping to maintain her GPA and is challenging herself with honors and AP courses. Although she doesn't have a clear plan on her future she hopes to help show others that it's okay to be different and to spread kindness.

Jenna Skavdahl is a junior at Ripon high school in Ripon, California. Jenna enjoys being an involved student, while still balancing her friendships, family, and hobbies. Leadership has been one of her passions for the three years she has been in the program at her high school. This year, as her third year in leadership, she will be serving her class as the Junior Class Administrative Assistant. She is incredibly excited to serve her class and take part in all leadership activities. Also at Ripon High, Jenna is involved in many different clubs and activities around campus. She has assumed and earned leadership roles in the Scrubs(pre-med) club, the Environmental Advocacy Club, The Next Chapter Book Club, and the Speech and Debate Club. This year however, she is looking forward to joining a different book club on campus as well as the CSF club. In addition to clubs, Jenna looks forward to running varsity cross country and track, as she has since her freshman year. Running is one of her favorite activities that she has found great enjoyment from, especially in the last few years. In addition to running, she loves to exercise in different ways. She enjoys walking, weight lifting, hiking, and many other activities. For this year, Jenna hopes to maintain a high GPA and manage her junior year the best she can. She is taking rigorous classes and aims to always do her best in these classes. Out of all of her classes, she is looking forward to her AP US History class, because she shares her liking of history with her dad. With the future quickly approaching, Jenna is still undecided about what she wants to do and where she wants to go with her life. However, she is looking forward to pushing herself in high school and finding her true calling as she gets close to going to college. College and further education is very important to Jenna, and she hopes she can attend a university that is out of state and somewhere Jenna can get a new experience and perspective on living. Finally, Jenna hopes that traveling, nature, and her friends and family will always be major parts of her life. She is hoping that hard work, dedication, passion, and fun will make her junior year one of the best!

Claire Morris is the Sophomore Class President at Ripon High School. Her job is to represent the Sophomore class and assist the rest of her team in planning events for the student body. She has past experience in her school’s leadership program after being a Freshman Representative. Claire enjoys leadership because she gets to create new connections with her peers and learn skills in professional development that will help her throughout life. She wants to lead her class with positivity and encourage them to be their truest selves. Outside of leadership, Claire is also involved in the EduRevolution club at her high school. The club’s purpose is to reimagine education in her school’s district and show the importance of self-reflection and creativity within teaching. Her participation in this club means a lot to her because Claire highly values education and wishes to make conscious efforts to improve the school system in any way she can. With her love for learning and academics she is especially interested in the Honors Biology and AP World History courses she’s enrolled in this year. When not in school, some of Claire’s favorite hobbies include reading, art, and listening to music. She’s always in the mood for a Barnes and Noble run and firmly believes that a good Spotify playlist can solve anything. Her goals for the future are to pursue a career in Investigative Journalism and to become well traveled. As for this school year, Claire hopes to maintain an efficient work ethic and gain a better perspective on herself and how to lead with intention.

Ximena Del Toro is a sophomore at Ripon High. She is the Sophomore Class Vice President in the ASB program at Ripon. In this position, she will support the Class President, help plan and organize school events, and even create a community service project with the other Class Vice Presidents. This will be her second year in the ASB program and Ximena is excited about being able to be in the program once again. Ximena considers herself to be dedicated, hard-working, kind, loyal, and trustworthy. Ximena wants to focus on putting her 100% into her school work this year and doing the best she can in everything. Academically wise, she also wants to stay on top of her school work and not leave everything for the last minute because that would result in low-quality work considering some events from the previous year. Ximena would like to keep an open mindset and positive attitude this year, despite all the challenges she might overcome. She also wants to enjoy the school year. She wants to have fun with her friends, her leadership family, and everyone on campus. It could be said that Ximena is excited for the 2022-2023 school year!

Mina Armanious is one of many individuals who are passionate, and outgoing when representing Ripon High. He strives to maintain a 3.5+ GPA while attending Ripon High. While maintaining AP/ Honor courses, he is consistently involved in various programs, and social events on campus. Many of those extra-curriculars include, Yearbook, Track and Field, and many more in the coming future. This year Mina is the class of 2025 Publicity Officer, his goal for Ripon High is to encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and participate in school events. That being said he himself hopes to become a positive example to represent his program and most importantly his class. After high school, he hopes to attend a 4 year college and work in the medical field. He hopes to conclude his final years at Ripon High doing what he is passionate about and that's creating a sense of family at RHS. The time is now for Mina because he’s halfway there.

Gia Grewal is the Administrative Assistant for the class of 2025 this year. Her role is to provide organization and facilitate proper communication between her peers. As an admin, Gia will take on the work of procedure forms and other paperwork. She is keen to fulfill her role as an admin and get more involved with her community. Some of Gia's favorite classes in school are Sports Medicine and Honors Biology. Gia has always been passionate about going down the medical pathway. After high school, Gia would like to attend Nevada State and enroll in the nursing program. She would like to pursue a career as a Travel Nurse. Gia is also involved in sports such as Soccer and Track for Ripon high. Outside of school, she spends her time at dream dance studios where she performs traditional dance known as Bhangra. To Gia, dance is her life, bringing her happiness and the drive to keep working harder. In her free time, Gia loves painting and reading. Some of her favorite books are They both die at the end, The Far Pavilions, and The Kite Runner. She wishes to work her hardest as the admin for the class of 2025 and have every event become successful. Ultimately, Gia is a passionate, diligent, and affectionate individual who is not afraid to go out of her way for what she loves.

Kiely Mundy is a freshman at Ripon high school. She hopes to have a successful year. Her goals include, getting good grades, making a positive impact in her community and school, and overall putting her best foot forward. She strives to be a positive force for good. Kylee Machado is an incoming freshman representative at Ripon High School. She is looking forward to what the year has planned for her up ahead. She has made herself busy, and following her high school's advice is getting involved in everything that she enjoys. She tends to look on the bright side and strives to be a positive influence to everyone around her. She is unsure what path she wants to follow, but she will wait and see what the future holds for her. Right now she is interested in helping animals and becoming a veterinarian. Kaiya Kroutil is a freshman graduating from Ripon High School in 2026. She is a freshman representative in her Leadership program at Ripon High and represents the freshman class as a whole. Kaiya finds playing soccer, meeting new people, and trying new things to be her favorite activities. Over many years she found that playing soccer is one of the things in her life that make her a better person. Kaiya Kroutil is a ecnl level soccer player and has been playing soccer for nine years. Kaiya is a national champion for the NPL 08 girls league and is also a national qualifier for ECNL girls league. She has hopes of becoming a part of the Ripon High soccer program and after high school wants to attend either UNC or Stanford University to continue playing soccer at a division one level. Soccer guided Kaiya to become a better leader on and off the field and helped expand her communication skills. Kaiya Kroutil has goals of achieving all A’s all four years of high school while taking Honors and AP classes. Another hobby of Kaiya’s is fashion. She has built a platform as an influencer and model off Instagram with her older sister Jaydin Kroutil and has reached thirty six thousand followers. Through this account she has been given the opportunities of traveling, working with other influencers, and being able to make a name for herself. Kaiya loves being involved in school activities and representing her school. She is always putting forth her best efforts and working hard at every challenge that is given to her. One person that is a huge role model in Kaiya's life is her older sister Jaydin Kroutil. Jaydin inspires Kaiya everyday to be just like her and has persuaded Kaiya to become more involved and become an overall better person. A quote Kaiya stands by is “Live and let go, don't be held down by what you can't control.” She is a strong believer that the good will always find a way back to her but in order to receive it she must also project it.

Callie Grijalva is a freshman at Ripon High School, graduating with the class of 2026. She holds the position of freshman representative in the leadership program at Ripon High. Callie Grijalva is a part of the volleyball team at Ripon High School and is hoping to be a part of the softball team as well. She has been playing softball for 9 years and is wanting to go to the University of Utah to play D1 softball, following in her mom’s footsteps. However, this is her first year playing volleyball other than one season of volleyball at her previous school. Callie is a very hard worker especially when it comes to sports. She will try her hardest to get to the next level. Callie Grijalva has accomplished many things athletically and academically, and will continue to accomplish many other things throughout her four years at Ripon High and outside of school. In November of 2021, Callie tried out for what would be her first travel softball team and made the team despite all the others that tried out beside her. This was one of Callie’s most proud accomplishments along with making Ripon High’s Volleyball team. Callie Grijalva has also had many academic achievements such as making Honor Roll all three trimesters in seventh and eighth grade and being elected as Vice President of Park View Elementary last year. Along with that, she had applied and interviewed for Ripon High School’s leadership and was successfully accepted into the program. Callie Grijalva has many interests including softball, volleyball, FFA, and leadership. Outside of school she enjoys hanging out with friends, baking, shopping, and watching movies. Even though Callie likes to have fun at times, she takes her education very seriously and has many goals for herself in the future. Callie would like to finish off each semester with a 3.8 gpa or higher and carry forth good time management skills that will help her in her future. She would also like to help plan and organize many upcoming events for the 2022-23 school year. Mia Duarte is a Freshman Representative at Ripon high school. Duarte at her past school Great Valley Academy was in the leadership program in Jr. High. In that program Duarte was in a committee that organized a school wide coat drive. She also emceed many school assemblies and was part of planning and organizing the events. Also in leadership Duarte and some classmates came up with the theme and painted the 8th grade mural. At Great Valley Academy since Duarte is a bilingual individual she gave a speech at her 8th grade graduation in English and in Spanish. At that event she also received multiple awards such as a wolf award meaning had outstanding character and was an example to her peers. She also received an English language arts achievement award and an award for getting all 4’s on her report card which are A’s in that grading system. At Ripon High she is in the leadership program and on the Junior Varsity cheerleading team and during the U.C.A cheer camp she received the spirit stick. Duarte is also a Junior coach for the junior novice Ripon Chiefs. Duarte is also on the sports medicine career pathway at Ripon High this year she is taking medical terminology to start it off. Outside of school Duarte has been in girl scouts since Kindergarten. Through Girl Scouts she has done multiple community service events and learned many life and business skills. She also is CPR, Babysitting, and P.A (program aid) trained and certified. Duarte has also earned her bronze award for doing community service hours helping out the humane society cleaning cages and donating blankets and cat toys. Duarte has also been dancing at 5678 dance studio for 7 years and has been on the fierce fleet performing team for 3 years. For the fierce fleet team we do many community service events. In the past she has participated in a coat drive for Mark Twain Jr. High school and a canned food drive for Second Harvest food bank. In the future Duarte plans to become a sports physical therapist. She has yet to decide which university she wants to go to but plans to get a degree in Sports Medicine.

Emme Wilbur is a freshman representative at Ripon High School this year. She enjoys cheer, competitive dance, music, pasta, and leadership. Emme enjoys setting new goals and higher standards for herself for every consecutive school year. Some goals she hopes to achieve going into high school are meeting new people outside of her usual friend group, stepping out of her comfort zone, and learning time management. She believes that a vital skill to have when tackling more advanced classes is to have the ability to manage her time wisely, so everything that is needed to be done is completed on time with the same amount of effort within each course she takes. Work ethic is a major core value of Emme’s, she enjoys the feeling of accomplishment when finishing a task, and knowing she worked hard to earn passing grades. Some other core values of Emme’s are, staying organized, being committed to what you’re doing, and always bringing a positive attitude so the classroom's atmosphere will have a better work environment. Within her life Emme has earned many accomplishments in dance, cheer, and leadership. Her achievements include winning dancer of the year for her studio, and national Icon of the year runner up in 2021 and 2022. She had also earned the position of JV cheer captain for Ripon High in her very first year cheerleading. Emme has also had the opportunity to travel nationally to take classes from professional choreographers and has been given many scholarships regarding dance such as photo shoots, being asked to perform in professional dance productions and groups, and getting to go to regional conventions free of charge. Emme has done dance for 11 years, but has competed for eight years. In Emme’s lifetime, dance has become a large influence on the person she is today, it has taught her to get creative while also helping her meet new people from around the country and promoted her to think outside of the box and strive to have new experiences with new people of all backgrounds to help prepare her for the real world. Emme feels that it is essential to have good influences in her life, so she can go down the right path and become successful in the real world. Some people that influence Emme and promote her to be hard working is her mom, Laura Ochoa, who works hard to make sure her children perform well in and outside of school, but also works even harder to put food on Emme’s plate and to provide Emme a home to live and sleep in. Her mother’s effort’s truly inspire and encourage Emme to persevere and work hard herself, hoping she can achieve the same efforts as her mom has shown to Emme throughout her life and applying it to her own future children and peers. Her older sister, Naomi Wilbur, has also had a major impact on Emme’s life, who had motivated her to become involved in many activities such as leadership when entering high school. Emme has idolized Naomi all of her life, even outside of school activities, such as dance. Naomi motivates Emme every single day to train harder and harder in dance and help her perform to the best of her abilities. Naomi has introduced her to many opportunities in the dance industry that will help guide Emme to transition into the real work world within dance, and she has taught her how to function within the real world outside of dance and school. These two very important influences in Emme’s life will continue to motivate her to excel and learn better work ethics to aid her throughout the upcoming four years of high school and Emme’s life that awaits ahead.

Kade Nelson is a senior at Ripon high School. He holds the position of Athletics commissioner at the high school. He and two other athletics commissioners are in charge of making this year the best year it can possibly be for the whole school. Kade and his fellow athletics commissioners' biggest task this year will be to plan powder puff and dodgeball. They will also be incharge of multiple other athletic related events. This will be a difficult task because of how much time and effort it takes to plan both powderpuff and dodgeball. Kade hopes to be able to play basketball and run track later in the year. He hopes to be able to join new clubs this year. Kade plans on having a 4.0+ GPA this year while balancing many extracurricular activities. Kade volunteers with kindergarten and first graders every other week for over two hours at his church. Kade hopes to instill positivity in the students and staff at Ripon High School during his last year on campus. He hopes to grow close with his fellow classmates and teachers, and he hopes to make many new friends this year. Kade is looking forward to learning a lot this year, not only from his success but also from his failures. Kade plans on going to college after high school. He would like to go to college for business finance and plans to become a financial planner in the future.

Nathan Curless is going into his second year of high school. Nathan will continue down the road of being a three sport athlete as well as keeping a 3.0+ GPA. He is going to accomplish these goals by keeping true to his morals. He enjoyed his first year of high school and made lots of new friends. He wants to follow in similar footsteps as he did last year. Nathan is going into his sophomore year as an athletics commissioner trainee. Ava Brocchini is a Junior and she serves as the Athletics Commissioner this year at Ripon High School. Her primary role is to market sporting events to the student body and create a pleasant social environment for a wide range of students. Her main athletic event to plan is Powder Puff. She will work hard to make it memorable for her fellow classmates at Ripon High. Ava wanted to be Athletics Commissioner because sports are one of her many passions. She plays varsity softball at Ripon High and she also takes stats for the varsity football team. Although she loves sports, academics are always her top priority. She has maintained a 4.0+ GPA throughout high school along with her extracurricular activities. Ava wants to go to a competitive university and major in neuroscience with a minor in biology. Allie Camara is a Junior attending her 3rd year at Ripon high school. She is a Spirit Commissioner in her second year of leadership at her school. She involves herself in many extracurriculars such as link crew, leadership, and is also on the Varsity volleyball team. She is in Yoga club and Girls League but looks forward to joining more clubs around campus. Elias Ramirez is a Spirit Commissioner currently attending Ripon High School. He is a sophomore with extremely high hopes for this year. He is extremely involved with extracurricular activities including ASB, FFA, Cross Country, and Track and Field. His Job as a Spirit Commissioner entails him to be extremely spirited, not just in the way he dresses, but also with his personality, as well as encouraging others to do the same. On any dress up/spirit days, he walks around school and takes spirit count and hands out candy to anyone who dresses up. Elias is an extremely hardworking and dedicated student athlete with an extremely charismatic personality. Elias is extremely excited for not just this school year but the upcoming ones as well, he hopes to not only stay in leadership, but to move up in positions in upcoming years. Ava Keast is a Junior at Ripon High who strives to be the best possible version of herself she can be. She challenges herself daily to make every room she walks into better than it was before. Ava is currently a Spirit commissioner at Ripon high. A goal of hers is to maintain a 4.0 the whole school year, and continue in the leadership program all four years of her high school experience. She enjoys being extremely active in school, and being on top of her work no matter how hard it may get sometimes. Outside of school Ava enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, tumbling, and babysitting her baby cousin Riley. Ava is on the varsity cheer team for Ripon High and was on the officer team for the Next Chapter Book Club at Ripon High and, she was formally treasurer for the United Christian club, and she also is in the Yoga club at Ripon High. Outside of school, Ava is also volunteers as chiefs cheer coach. Ava hopes to attend a four year college in Southern California after she finishes her senior year. A quote that Ava lives by would be, "Sometimes in the waves of changes we find our direction." This quote sticks out to her because life is always changing, but we have to remember that through change we learn many things and sometimes change is for the better.

Ewan West is a senior at Ripon High School. He is a spirit commissioner in charge of promoting spirit wear throughout the Ripon High School School student body. His personal goals are to achieve a 4.0+ GPA, to live a happy, healthy lifestyle, to continue to be in the leadership program, and to continue with his hobby of bodybuilding. Outside of his time at Ripon High School, Ewan is involved in the Boy Scouts community and is on track to get his Eagle Scout rank within the next few months. Payton Miller-Kay is a Public Relations Coordinator attending her third year at Ripon High School. Her job entails her to be a creative, innovative student that inspires others to get involved with their school as well as a resource for students to ask any questions or concerns that they may have. With this, she has been involved in promoting school spirit and involvement by creating publicity for school events. She is hardworking, positive, optimistic, and friendly. Payton is currently a part of Girls League, Link Crew, Sideline Cheer, and Pride Tribe. Payton is in her third year of sideline cheer and hopes to continue doing it next year. Payton is looking forward to meeting new people and all of the fun activities to come with new adventures in High School. She's not sure what she would like to pursue a career in but she loves the idea of being able to help people with whatever job she chooses. This year her goals are to stay on top of all of her work, try new things outside of her comfort zone, earn a 4.0+ GPA, keep a positive mindset, become a role model for other students, and to find new ways to keep Ripon High School involved. Katie Rhodes is the 2022-2023 Public Relations Coordinator who is inspired to be the best leader she can be. She wants to create a positive environment for the students at Ripon High. This year Katie is planning on cheering, and playing soccer, and softball. She plans to participate in yoga club, leadership, maintain a 4.0+ GPA, and much more. Katie’s goal this year is to encourage the participation of every student at RHS. As public relations coordinator, Katie plans to get creative and think outside of the box of publicity. She wants to be inclusive to students that don’t have social media and that don’t have access to the school and class Instagrams. Katie is excited to get her junior year on the move. She can’t wait to see what this year has in store and to embrace everything that is thrown her way. Katie wants to contribute to as many aspects of high school as possible. Gideon Waters is a Junior at Ripon high school this 2022/2023 school year. He is an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America program. Gideon has been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since he was 8. He has 5 years of experience playing tennis with 2 of those years being on the Ripon High Tennis team. He works at Dodge Ridge Ski resort during the winter and spring season. He strives for academic excellence, organization, and responsibility. He enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and watersports. He is an assistant at the attendance office and works there every first period with Ms. Kiser. He looks to pursue a future career in nursing and is taking classes to build a foundation for this path. Spencer Redula is a junior at Ripon High School aiming to achieve great heights through hard work, discipline, and dedication. He has a 4.51 GPA and strives to achieve all A’s in his classes once again. The main motto for his junior year is to achieve “relaxed hard work”, a phrase deemed to himself to represent staying calm and organized in spite of a tremendous workload and responsibilities inside and out of school. Spencer is taking the year one step at a time, breaking it down to its simplest parts, then tackling them individually to achieve success at the large scale. As he stated, “With how all over the place this year is going to be, you have to focus on not getting overwhelmed with everything at once. Take a deep breath, break it up, and do what you do best one at a time and success will always be certain.” After high school, Spencer hopes to be either a dentist or orthodontist, with his main passion in school being biology.

Gabriella Melgarejo is the Renaissance and Link Crew coordinator for the 2022-2023 school year, and is a junior. In her job, she is in charge of various Link Crew events such as 8th Grade Day, Study Buddy night, and Freshman Orientation. She also organizes items needed for the Renaissance program with Alizeh and Sofia. She has been very involved with multiple clubs in the past, such as Sacred Heart, California Scholarship Federation, and Speech and Debate as the officer. This year, she will be the Vice President of the Red Cross club and Vice President of the Scrubs Club, as well as being a founder and secretary for the Asian Culture Club. She also is involved with Varsity Tennis and has played tennis for the school since freshman year. She challenges herself in school by taking various AP and honors classes, so that she can learn further about the world as she loves to learn about various cultures on a deeper understanding. She is excited for the upcoming school year, to hang out with her friends and to meet new people. Sofia Grewal is currently a sophomore at Ripon High School graduating in the class of 2025. As a sophomore in high school Sofia is involved with a lot in her high school and community. One thing that Sofia is passionate about is leadership. Leadership is her opportunity to give back to her high school community and get to know so many new people. During her time in Leadership Sofia served as a Freshman representative and is currently serving as the Renaissance and Link Crew Coordinator. As a freshman in leadership Sofia was able to put on many events for her student body including Homecoming, Winterfest, and the annual Halloween dance. This year Sofia has participated in Link Crew who is a group of people who help freshmen and new students get acquainted in high school. She also is currently participating in the volleyball program at Ripon High School as a middle blocker on JV. This is her second year playing volleyball for the high school team. In the future Sofia hopes to be a part of the Ripon High soccer team as it will be her eighth year playing soccer. Sofia also excels academically, as she took AP Human Geography as a freshman and is currently enrolled in AP world along with Honors Math, Honors English, and Honors Biology. After graduating high school Sofia hopes to go to school to become a Pediatrician. She has already taken a step towards her goals by taking Medical Terminology her freshman year and Sports Med 1 this year. Jaydin Kroutil is a senior at Ripon High School. She is so excited for this school year as it will be the first year of her high school career that is completely normal… crossing fingers! Jaydin holds the position of Rally Commissioner in the RHS leadership program where she is in charge of being the face of her school's Instagram page, running rallies, bringing spirit and energy to campus, and positively influencing others. Jaydin is also taking honors and AP classes where she can challenge herself in subjects she enjoys such as English, Literature, and more! Jaydin also takes stats for the Ripon High football team every Friday night where she assists the football staff and players in recording numbers and times. Outside of school, she is committed to a club soccer team where she practices two to four days a week. On this team, she has taken on numerous leadership roles that require responsibility and commitment. Jaydin also has a church youth group where she is active in planning activities, spending time with her friends, and doing service projects for her community. This year, she intends to keep her 4.0+ GPA and is willing to take on any challenge that could stop her from doing so. She also will be applying to colleges in these next coming months which also puts on the academic pressure. She hopes to get into her number one school, the University of Utah, after graduation. Heaven Elisary is currently a senior at Ripon High School. Although Heaven’s years at high school are coming to an end, she is just beginning a new experience in her final year. Heaven is taking on the role to be Ripon High’s rally commissioner for the 2022 to 2023 school year. Her role is to bring the energy and spirit to the rallies! Along with promoting events for the upcoming school year, making honorable mentions, giving recognitions, and having some fun along the way! She loves making others feel included and wanted within the environment they are in! She is the type of person to not only learn from her failures, but is also able to learn from her problems and conflicts. She can adapt and work from her past failures, problems, and conflicts to work on making herself and the environment she is in, a better space. She is a part of one of the most spirited sports teams in the high school, cheer! Heaven has been a cheerleader since she was 6 years old. She has grown with her love for cheer by joining the Ripon High Cheer Team! With her not only joining the cheer team has helped gain new connections, but it helped her get involved in school spirit! She loves seeing the tribe all together seeing them cheer on the football team to a victory. With her time in high school, there has been a rollercoaster of events. From Covid-19 all the way to the football team winning state Freshman year! She has also gained many hard lessons along the way. From accepting the loss of friendships, failure on tests, and having to cope with the new changes with the virus’. She has learned with the large effect of Covid-19, she has learned to take every moment and opportunity in because you’ll never know if its temporary or forever life changing.

Gabriella Delgado is one of the many qualified students proudly representing RHS as a Senior in the class of 2023. Her grades in High School are very important and she has maintained over a 4.0 GPA every year. Gabby participates in many extracurricular activities on campus such as basketball, track and field, sports photography, pride tribe, leadership, and many other clubs. She has consistently involved herself in what school has to offer, and has loved every step of it. Gabby’s goal is to not only to spread positivity and pride within herself, but also the student body. In the future, she hopes to attend a University to become apart of FEMA and get her degree in International Affairs and Communication. Gaby Calderara is a sophomore representing Ripon High School as historian trainee. Her job entails collecting and capturing photos of important events put on by leadership, to create a scrapbook of this school year's memories. This year, Gaby hopes to be productive and balanced in all aspects of her life. Her academic goals are to do her best in everything she puts her energy into, and maintaining a 4.0 gpa. Outside of school, Gaby enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, and dance. This will be her 13th year dancing, and she even danced competitively for a few years. She's extremely thankful for every experience, opportunity, and relationship that has came out of dance. Gaby's long term goals are to attend a university she loves, preferably staying in-state on the coast, getting a bachelor's degree in criminology, becoming an FBI profiler or psychiatrist, and living in Southern California after she finishes school. With that being said, Gaby is very excited to see what Sophomore year will bring to her.
