My Intent...What's Your Word?

It all started with a gift from my sister...

The Vision: Self care & Mindfulness

Picture
When I received my gift from my sister, I was overwhelmed by the concept of the My Intent company. Words are powerful and if we live by the words we believe in, that gives us strength in our very Being.

That is what I wanted when I began creating this idea for the student body of Ripon High School two years ago. But what stopped me what a busy schedule of activities along with a busy life....my daily reminder..."Breathe!"

The time to start this project wasn't meant for two years ago - it was meant for now as we approach the coming year of 2020-2021 with a Pandemic surrounded by uncertainty and fear.

Let me explain further.

Normalcy is gone at this point in time from the regular school day schedule and the activities held on our campus. We need to realize that this time period in our life is not without struggle, but we can UNITE with the words we truly believe in. When we find ourself down, depressed, full of anxiety, missing our friends, frustrated, and so much more - YOUR word can carry you. It can remind you of what your core values are and why are you pushing through times of crazy and uncertainty.

Even if we must be distance, we can unite through this project!

Four amazing students and one staff member believed in this crazy idea and joined me on this journey. I am so thankful for the time and the support they have given to be a part of something unique and special to our study body. Let's embrace this together!

See below for our video explaining our project along with photos of the students/staff member who joined #myintent, #liveyourword, #worldsgreatesthighschool

Interested in being a part of our community and to live by the word that means the most to you? Read below to see how to be a part of this amazing journey! Together we can bring joy to our world!

1. Each bracelet will cost $5. This is not a fundraiser. This cost of the bracelet will be to pay for the item itself. I (Morty) decided that I didn't want this to be about money, rather about coming together! I purchased the maker kit out of pocket and do not expect to be reimbursed. The cost will be to order the bracelets and the labor of LOVE will be done for free by Morty.
2. Fill out the google form to order your bracelet.

3. We want to feature you on our ASBOFRIPONHIGHSCHOOL Instagram page! Email Morty directly, jmortensen@riponusd.net, with a picture of just your bracelet so that we can see the word and a separate picture of you wearing the bracelet.
