Jenna Skavdahl is a senior at Ripon high school in Ripon, California. Jenna enjoys being an involved and passionate student while still balancing her friendships, family, and hobbies. Leadership has been one of her passions for all four years she has been in the program at her high school. This year, as her fourth and final year in leadership, she will be serving the student body as the ASB President. She is incredibly excited and honored to be able to give back to her school which has taught her so much over the years. Outside of leadership, Jenna is involved in ten clubs around campus and serves as a leader in most of them. She feels that through clubs, she is able to give back to her community through projects, while still pursuing various passions of hers and spending time with her friends.
Additionally, Skavdahl enjoys being involved in Link Crew. She also enjoys serving as a role model to her peers on the varsity cross-country and track teams. She loves these sports as it gives her a chance to run, one of her favorite hobbies, and make lifelong friendships with her teammates. In addition, she finds great joy in working part time at Spring Creek Golf and Country Club. This year, Jenna hopes to do well in her classes, as she has a rigorous schedule and stays ahead of assignments and projects, without neglecting her physical and mental health. With her future quickly approaching, Jenna is still undecided about what she wants to do and where she wants to go with her life after high school. However, she is looking forward to pushing herself in high school and finding her true calling as she is applying and getting ready to leave for college. College and further education is very important to Jenna, and she hopes she can attend a university that matches her energy and aligns with her standards, while still pushing her to meet new people and learn something new each and every day. She hopes to find new experiences, people, and classes in college that will make her ready for the world outside of Ripon. Finally, Jenna hopes that traveling, nature, and her friends and family will always be major parts of her life. She is hoping that hard work, dedication, passion, and fun will make her senior year successful! |
Payton Miller-Kay is the ASB Vice President attending her fourth year at Ripon High School. Her job entails her to be a creative, innovative student that inspires others to get involved with their school as well as a resource for students to ask any questions or concerns that they may have. With this, she has been involved in promoting school spirit and involvement by being a part of planning and executing school events. She is hardworking, positive, optimistic, and friendly. Payton is currently a part of Girls League, Link Crew, Sideline Cheer, Sober Grad and Pride Tribe. Payton is looking forward to making new memories and all of the fun activities to come with her last year in High School. She would like to pursue a career in business as a community planner. She hopes to build and strengthen communities throughout her life by building connections and promoting involvement. This year her goals are to stay on top of all of her work, try new things outside of her comfort zone, maintain a 4.0+ GPA, keep a positive mindset, continue to be a role model for other students, and to find new ways to keep Ripon High School involved. Payton hopes to make this year the greatest yet!

Gia Grewal is the 2023-2024 ASB administrative Assistant at Ripon High School. Her job is to communicate the ideas of her teammates as well as her peers. Gia strives to lead by example; as a role model working to replenish her community. As ASB Administrative Assistant, Gia will carefully take care of detailed paperwork such as minutes and procedure forms as well as tackling events with her ASB team. She is so elated to be a part of ASB because after her two years in the program, Gia has seen the qualities needed by an ASB Admin and decided to rise to the challenge. The ability to lead, advocate for the team, and be organized are all skills Gia harbors. Currently, Gia is an officer of the Multicultural club, a member of Girls League, and a member of asian appreciation club. Getting involved in clubs on campus gives Gia the incentive to get involved with her community and peers. Some of the classes she looks forward to for the year are Sports Medicine II, Ap Biology, and Leadership. With a goal towards the medical field, Gia enjoys science and medicine based classes which further indulge her in the medical field. Also in school, Gia is in Link crew, guiding new students and providing kindness and assistance daily. Outside of school, Gia is involved in dance. She is one of the dance captains on the senior team. Dance has taught Gia to be resilient and optimistic. Gia finds joy in teaching children from 7-15 years of age how to dance as she first learned how to dance at 12 years old. She is able to stay in touch with her roots while making connections with her friends and teachers at dance. After high school, Gia plans to attend the university of Reno, Nevada in hopes of getting into their great nursing program. She would like to pursue being an ICU nurse to provide peace and warmth to patients who do not have much time left. In her Junior year, Gia strives to be a diligent student but also enjoy the year with her friends and family as high school is coming to a close end.

Alizeh Ali will be serving as the 2023-2024 ASB Executive Board Member. Alizeh Ali has the opportunity to sit as a board representative, vote on motions, and bring the voice of the school to the meetings. With a strong commitment to humility and public service, Alizeh aspires to serve as an exemplary advocate for her peers. Her hope is to surpass prior standards by creating an improved educational community. Alizeh's high school journey commenced in Speech and Debate as a freshman. She is honored to be ending it by possessing the role of student club advisor. She fully understands the immense value that these clubs hold within the campus community, as they offer numerous avenues for student engagement. Alizeh possesses a vision to establish a lasting impact on the campus. Her intent is to enact changes that enhance the school's environment and generate pathways for individuals to step into leadership roles. She anticipates the wealth of knowledge she will amass through this endeavor, knowledge that she can integrate into her life. As a strong supporter of theater arts, Alizeh is excited to assume the presidency of the Drama Club. She hopes to foster an environment that works as a team to create a successful spring production. Alizeh hopes to end her last year in high school on a strong note by doing what she loves while also working hard.

Ava Brocchini is a Senior at Ripon High School. She is involved in the ASB Leadership program, serving as the Senior Class President. Her primary role is to create an inclusive social environment for all students at Ripon High. She strives to reach a wide range of students and personalities by creating class activities catering to everyone. She coordinates homecoming, Winterfest, graduation, senior sunrise and sunset, and more. She looks forward to working with Katie, Allie, and Ava, who comprise the rest of her class officer team.
Ava also participates in various extracurriculars while maintaining a 4.0+ GPA throughout high school. She has been on the varsity softball team for three years and was team captain during her third season. Ava is also passionate about football, so she found a way to get involved with a sport she loves by taking stats for the varsity team. She appreciates working with the coaches to help them prepare for the season. Ava also enjoys agriculture and started her own cattle operation freshman year. She has grown from two heads of cattle to almost twenty in just three years. She loves to try new things to improve her skill set and find her passion. As a senior, Ava has been planning for her future. She has already started applying to universities in hopes of living across the country after graduation. She has known for a long time that she wants to move far and create a life that is her own. She plans to major in finance to pursue a career in the investment world. She does not want to work for someone else. Instead, she wants to work for herself and create a steady income to provide for her future family. Ava is responsible, tenacious, and resilient. Hopes and dreams fuel her, so she sets goals to ensure she works hard every day to reach them. She believes she will live a fulfilled life by taking everything for what it is worth and by accomplishing her dreams. |
Katie Rhodes is the 2023-2024 Senior Class Vice President. With this being her last year at RHS, she is determined to make the most of her year by joining clubs, attending events, participating in activities, and playing sports. She wants to maintain her 3.8 GPA and successfully apply and get into a college of her choice. Katie wants to spend her last year being super spirited, making new friends, and becoming the person she’s worked hard at being the last three years. Keeping a positive attitude, being more patient, and giving full effort are a few of Katie’s goals for this school year. She wants to leave a positive impact and fulfill her legacy at Ripon High. To sum it all up, Katie wants to finish strong and give her last year everything she has. She wants to grow into the adult she is becoming and work on herself. Katie is super excited for the year ahead of her and can’t wait for all of the fun senior activities, especially GRADUATING

Allison Camara is in her senior year of highschool and has big goals for her future. She has been fortunate to spend the past two years in the leadership program at Ripon High School, making this year her third year. Her last year in the program she decided to branch out and become a Senior Class Officer. With this decision she is excited to lead her class as Senior Class Admin. This program has taught Camara life skills that no other class would have exposed her to such as public speaking, organizing events, the importance of communication when doing anything in life, and professional skills such as preparing for an interview and going through a Mock Interview during the year. Camara is heavily involved around campus other than being in the leadership such as this being her 4th year apart of the Ripon High volleyball program with this being her second year on Varsity. Camara is also involved in Link Crew, which is a program that helps out incoming freshman and new students when arriving at Ripon High. This program starts at the end of the year introducing 8th graders and continues to the following year for freshman orientation and many other events. Camara is a part of Girl’s league, which is a club at Ripon High that promotes the importance of sisterhood while also completing community service throughout the year. After high school Camara hopes to attend a 4-year university and major in Health science. She hopes to follow a career path in pharmaceutical sales or becoming a dietitian/nutritionist for a university. Throughout all of this Camara hopes to maintain her health and happiness while not becoming overwhelmed with her future plan.

Ava Keast is a Senior at Ripon High who strives to be the best possible version of herself she can be. She challenges herself daily to make every room she walks into better than it was before. Ava is currently Senior Class Publicity Officer at Ripon high. A goal of hers was always to continue in the leadership program all four years of her high school experience, and now as she enters her 4th and final year in the program she can proudly check off that goal. She enjoys being extremely active in school, and being on top of her work no matter how hard it may get sometimes. Outside of school Ava enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, tumbling, and babysitting her baby cousin Riley. Ava is the head Captain of the varsity cheer team for Ripon High and has been cheering a total of 7 years while cheering in high school for 3 years and participating in competitive cheer for 3 seasons. Ava helped create The Next Chapter Book Club at Ripon High and was formally treasurer for the United Christian club. She also is in the Yoga club at Ripon High and the Girls League club. Ava is also a Ripon High Sober grad ambassador and a representative for the senior grad trip. Outside of school, Ava also volunteers as a Novice chiefs cheer coach where she coaches younger girls and hopes to be someone they can look up to, and inspire them to fall in love with Cheerleading just like Ava did at a young age. Ava hopes to attend a four year college and is working hard to potentially receive a scholarship to cheer in college. A quote that Ava lives by would be, "Sometimes in the waves of changes we find our direction." This quote sticks out to her because her life is always changing, but we have to remember that through change we learn many things, and sometimes change is for the better.
